Creative tools for Children, Adolescents and Adults
Expressive Tool kit
Examples of these tools include drama, small world play, sand play, art, puppets, masks, music, dance/movement, creative visualisation, therapeutic story; various mediums that a person can use to work through their anxieties with the safety and dramatic distance that creative play allows.
The Power of Metaphor
Parents, adolescents and children can project their inner world onto figures, objects or puppets using these mediums to express feelings, take symbolic risks and resolve conflicts. In a creative therapeutic session the person directs the activity as a director would a movie thereby taking the creative work to where they need to heal.
